it brings a lot of insight as to why your family is who they are.
Why you yourself are too.
It bridges time, it is exciting and picturing your ancestors, well it's like new friends in your heart.
You'll find sadness though which often explains a lot too.
I love it
Love tracing my family tree, am currently back to around 1751 but have hit a brick wall with my Fathers fathers which is frustrating.
I agree with comments about it giving insight to why a family is the way it is. It does bring some sadness, especially as I found out just yesterday that a family member that I thought was an uncle was in fact no relation at all but a lie from my father. But on the whole its a cool thing. I found out my Grandparents names through my research.
Everyone should do it
