    LOL wow, unfortunately that has a ring of truth to it. There are some very underqualified nurses out there.. :shock:

    there are some nurses who dont know how to take a blood pressure because they rely on those automatic things.

    i had a response to a nursing home for a rectal bleed. so when me and my partner got there i asked her nurse if she had taken a blood pressure

    her reply: "No, our machine died" then i asked whether she could take it manually and she said "uhh i have no clue how to do that."

    so we get in the truck and i take one en route.. 72/32.. she had a history of HTN! needless to say we booked it to the Melrose-Wakefield Hopital lol.
