AEG teams with OT to compete with Ticketmaster

Finally...justice for years of ridiculous service fees. It's good to see another company in the mix, maybe some concert prices will go down or this will at least give artists who want to offer lower priced tickets the option to do so without getting totally hosed by TM anymore (wishful thinking?). :lol:

  • I'm all for competition, but this won't really change anything... concert prices (face value) have nothing to do with ticketing fees, and I'm not betting that a company that is as aggressive as AEG is will change fees all that much. AEG has deals with TM for a lot of their venues, and it's not like they cared a whole lot about the customers then, because they leveraged TM for a higher percentage to them, not a lower total to the customers.
