    anybody know why this is?

It's cause on the custom forms it's not checked marked as gift, but as merchandise, and the products description price is listed high. Those that had to pay $46 bucks @ the door, their custom form had the product listed as a value of $300 bucks. Those who had to pay $26.75 @ the door, those box set's value were listed as $150 bucks on the custom forms.

It's all weird I'll tell you. I've bought dozens of goodies from the USA that were much heavier then the Vs.Vitalogy box set where I didn't pay a dime @ the door. :|

First off I don't live in the US or Canada.

I was just about to buy the Super Deluxe Edition and noticed that I can either get it through the Goods section or via Myplaydirect from the link on the home page. For me it is far cheaper to get it through the Goods section and pay in US dollars. I thought before that people who were overseas could only buy it through myplaydirect but now I don't see anything written in the goods section about this.

Can anyone help out? Is there a difference between buying it through the 2 places or are they the same? E.g. would shipping company and method of shipping be the same? Is it be better to buy it through Myplaydirect?

I might just go ahead and see if I can buy it through the goods section. Hopefully I'll get it in one piece.

if you buy it from goods, and you live in Europe you will probably pay taxis cos you receive expensive item from USA...+Fees etc..so better go to sony..if you live for an excable at S.America ,i dont know ,but didnt read anywhere complains from people live there about paying extra.hope that helps

Thanks mate. I live in Australia so there wouldn't be any tax to pay if I got it through the Goods section. I'm just worried that it might take a long time to arrive. Any idea whether it would be much quicker to arrive if getting it through Myplaydirect? And the other issue I can see is if it does not arrive from the Goods section then it's at my risk with no insurance and there would be no replacement if lost or damaged.

Myplaydirect for sure is more quick than 4-8 weeks from 10c..actually in australia was the 1st that arrive from the presale..and you will get tracking number and secure that arrive..
\from the other hand communication with 10c is more friendly about replacement-damaged package than Myplaydirect

i was just looking at this and thinking the same thing. if you buy from the myplaydirect it is $169 plus $73 shipping all in aussie dollars, or from the goods page for $150 plus $75 shipping all in U.S. dollars.

so you could either pay $244 aussie from myplaydirect or $205 aussie from the goods page.

my question is, why the big price difference? for the exact same product essentially coming from the same supplier?

why do we pay $169 in aussie dollars when we really should be paying $136 when converted off the price on the goods page? i don't get how sony can charge $30 more before shipping when the aussie dollar is better then the U.S.

i'd be happy to wait the few weeks to save $40.

That doesn't explain the $30 dollars price difference before shipping. Shipping for the courier only costs an extra $10 Aussie. The major difference is sony's idea that because the Aussie dollar is stronger then the U.S we for some reason should pay $30 more. Does not make any sense.

From ten club we pay $134 Aussie but from Sony we pay $169 Aussie.

    That's mainly what I'm asking.

there is a 3-7 weeks deference in arrival date..that explain alot to me..+ for europeans is more or less the cost is the same, cos with 10c way you pay fees and taxis, with sony europe no..as for shipping
the diference between sony price and 10c price is the vat...there is 30 euros difference in sony europe price(more expensive) than 10c price

Yeah but that still only explains the difference in shipping cost. But the major price difference isn't in the shipping cost it is in the actual price of the deluxe pack. If they both cost $169 then I only had to pay $40 shipping and get it in 8 weeks or pay $75 shipping and get it in a week then it would make sense. But at the moment I pay the exact same amount for shipping no matter which option I go with. But the actual product is $30 more when it should technically be about $15 less due to the high Aussie dollar. Not more.

Which is what I'm saying. Shipping cost/arrival time isn't even the issue.

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the U.S. may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country ("Import Fees"). The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such Import Fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
ORDERS SHIPPED TO COUNTRIES OTHER THAN THE US AND CANADA WILL BE AT THE CUSTOMERS RISK. WE WILL NOT RESHIP, REPLACE OR REFUND LOST OR MIS-DELIVERED ORDERS. BY PLACING AN ORDER FOR THIS ITEM YOU ARE AGREEING TO OUR TERMS OF SERVICE.
