    They put on one of the few shows that I would describe as 'religious experience' (Pearl Jam, Springsteen, Liam Finn, Adrian Belew, and Broken Social Scene being the others).

    At least Jack will continue to put out gobs of music. Way to keep it classy with the breakup too. Everybody wanted another album, but they just didn't feel it. Time to move on.

    Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan are 2 of the greatest albums that have ever blasted through these ears

    Right now I'm cranking the 07 Nova Scotia show. Too good.

    Where can a guy find those 2007 shows, do you know? I've been a peripheral WS fan, living vicariously through my brother and sister-in-law's love of Jack and Meg, but after picking up UGWNL on vinyl, I'm pretty sure I need to hear every minute of live WS I can cram into my head.

    Add one more band to the list of regret for not seeing them live.

    I read it under music news on our local rock station just a few minutes ago. :cry: :x

    This really sucks, but in all honesty, I kind of saw this coming. Last big tour they did was canceled, cause Meg was having anxiety issues. She has been pretty much out of the limelight since.

    I am hoping that with all break up rumors for bands, they will reunite in due time, even if it's just for a few one off tour dates. This will show a high demand for the band and hopefully bring them back to record. (Bands say these things all the time, and end up getting back together).

    I want to see them live so bad. I've seen Dead weather twice, but still need to see Raconteurs and the Stripes. I hope in a few years, the overwhelming response will show how much they are missed.

    not really surprised to be honest. after being on a four year hiatus i kind of expected this.

    Sad news, a great band. One of the best of the last 20 years. Im sure Jack White will continue to release great stuff
