Well I'm gonna take it into town
just outside the bayou line
take it into town
light it up
and see what burns down.

I trap and hunt on the river shore
like a country boy do
but tonight I'm gonna bust it out
I'm gonna light the city night on fire tonight.

A mans got to make a living
deep inside the bayou we Brew mountain dew
and the revenue man will never understand
this is our freedom
this is our land.

But tonight I'm gonna take it into town
just outside the bayou line
take it into town
light it up
and see what burns down.

I'm gonna set this night on fire.

The revenue man came looking for me
down at the end of old willows road
you can't always see the gators
until they lock it down and spin into that death roll.

The Sheriff found his hat and his gun
in the mud along the rivers edge
A big horn buck or a revenue man
a gator just don't understand.

But tonight I'm gonna take it into town
just outside the bayou line
take it into town
light it up
and see what burns down.

I'm gonna set this night on fire.

I didn't mean to say your poem sucks. I meant that my heart bleeds for the actual bayou of Louisiana.

    " you have been there ? "

No, I have not been down to the bayou of Louisiana but I do see it. I do know the purpose it serves to the surrounding people and the difficulty that those people of the bayou now face because of the irresponsible behaviour of our kind.
