Gallery of time

The wind is moving in a different direction
chasing clouds across the sky
blowing leafs and pieces of time
Thru my tired mind.

Sing me your song for the ages
show me your eyes for the future
show me the way and the meaning
Please wake me up from my dreaming.

So many pictures that hang on the walls
in a gallery of time
of my life that I've painted
One wish at a time.

I'm looking through your window
waiting for the sleeping shadows
of a distant memory
I can hear them calling
Are they calling for me ?

Sweet mothers voice carried in the wind
from paintings in the gallery of time so long ago
on a canvas of her life each stroke
holy and bright
A masterpiece for the ages to see.

So many pictures that hang on the walls
in a gallery of time
of my life that I've painted
One wish at a time.

Sing me your song thru the ages
paint me a picture
In the gallery of time.

My love can be your canvas
I'll surrender my dreams
And their meaning.

If you will sing me your song thru the ages
And paint me a picture in the gallery of time.

One wish at a time.

    thank you'z very much !
I had a dream last night that I couldn't wake from and this morning this is what I made of it, it was actually very scary when I woke up finally at 2:11am my heart was pounding and my breathing was very erratic, I have these dreams off and on but when I was in my 20's I would have similar dreams that I could actually see my self in bed and look around the room, this happened to me once on the east coast at a friends house,we had come in from working and I fallen asleep on the side of his bed and I felt myself fall into a uncontrollable deep sleep and I could see myself in the bed and then I saw him walk into the room and pick out a book off his dresser then walked around the bed to a chair in the corner and sit and start to read then after a few minuets he stood up and left the room, I forced myself awake by hitting my head against the headboard and that brought him back to the room to see what was going on and when I told him what I saw while I was asleep his eyes got as big as silver dollars in said your shitting me ! thats exactly what I did, he also said while I was sleeping my breathing was very erratic and thought I was dreaming of some gal, I saw him looking at me as he walked around the bed to the chair.
    very scary stuff.

you poem has a very beautiful and positive tone to it but the above lines, along with some others, stood out as a bit.... odd? pictures hanging on the walls... can be a cool thing... but maybe it's the way you've said it that made me shit my pants a little..

Very evocative..... makes me think how there are more things in heaven and earth than dreamt of in our philosophies..... They say people having near death experiences often leave their bodies, like floating up and looking around the surgery room, and noting details of things that turn out to be accurate. I can believe this. I have had a lot of altered perceptual experiences - many of which where I was a slave to ideas that were purely being generated by imagination - but quite a proportion of which (maybe 35%) were insights into things from 'out there'. I have had times during psychosis where my brain is an avalanche of ideas, the most twisted fucked up ideas and images and thoughts you could possibly imagine. Stuff I never want to repeat or even think of again. Trouble is, some of these ideas which I was fast forwarded through at alarming rates exist 'out there' in the world - and I encounter them in daily life again, though I am 100% sure I never encountered them before psychosis. For example, the beliefs of many ancient religions, the detail of the occult - detail which I have lived through and hear echoes of in life - reading a book, watching a movie - echoes of stuff I really would wish to forget forever it is so terrifying and sickening. For instance I cannot watch any horror film now, because within the first five mintutes I go 'oh yeah, that one - been through that....' There is not a single horror film I have encountered since experiencing psychosis which isn't based on ideas I have already experienced. For this reason I mainly listen to 'friendly' music, and read 'friendly' books and fill my brain with largely positive input. I can't be doing with watching Marilyn Manson videos - and if I do sit through them, I always think - I could have made it far more upsetting than that. I really could have a career writing horrible video games, where my imagination has been.... but instead I like to watch the ducks in the park and the children playing, and the birds fluttering around! :D

Actually he seems quite a clever writer - it's more the scary mood thing that some people want to generate with their art.

I think some people (a lot of the people in this part of the forum) are just more sensitive than everyday folk - and they don't need to be steamrollered to see beyond the surface, or to see things, feel things that are 'immaterial'. Unfortunately a large proportion of the people on this planet are asleep!

I don't consider an out of body experience to be trippy though I can see why it may come across as trippy. It is not portrayed to be common.
The consciousness is the consciousness. We have this ability to recognize only the self and force the consciousness to work for us the way we see fit. I think, instead of making the consciousness welcome us we should be welcoming consciousness by being conscious of it. This planet breathes. The universe, it breathes. Regardless if you're reading a book, having sex, cooking, walking along, listening to music, etc., too just be aware of the collective consciousness and the power that lays within can bring about fruits that one could never imagine. For me, being aware of consciousness has made me realize that I must be a firm believer of the 'now' and act accordingly.
But, what do I know. I'm just a monkey
