Such a fun show! Hoping to go next week in SF, if I can snag a ticket and if my parents can take a cab from the airport. such a good daughter am I. 8-)

Ha! I have to sell my tickets for the San Diego show cause my sister and her family are flying in from out of town, and I have to pick them up at the airport that night.

I've seen Social D. and Mike Ness 'solo' band a number of times. Always a good show.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Going to see them tomorrow night at the Palladium! Can't wait!
I've seen them 3-4 times before but it's been 8 or 9 years since I last saw them. Really digging the new album.

I'll be there too in my PJ20 hoodie! :)
  • for those going or who have gone, how are the openers?
  • Great show last night. I thought Chuck Ragan was awesome, not so much on Lucero though. Social D goes on at 10 and off at 1130 on the dot.

Last night was solid. I liked that Social D played some deeper cuts along with the hits. "So Far Away" was awesome and I really liked the different arrangement on "Reach for the Sky." Last night's performance sealed "California Hustle and Flow" as my favorite song on the new album.
I agree on the openers. Chuck Ragan was pretty good. My buddy that came with me loves Lucero. I thought they were just ok.

Do they still only play 1 or 2 songs from the white light white heat album?

They only played 2 at the show I was at on Saturday. "Through These Eyes" and "Down Here (With the Rest of Us)"

Surprising choice, since on previous tours they usually played "I was wrong" and/or "don't drag me down" from that album. Wish they still played "when the angels sing".

Yea I know, it's a week day, and a 2 hour drive. Plus I'd have to work the next day. We will see.

Like i mentioned, I was glad to see some of the deeper cuts, having seen "I Was Wrong" and "Don't Drag Me Down" numerous times before. This show helped me like the new album even more, although I wish I could have heard " "Far Side of Nowhere" off HT&NR. Great overall show.

I've seen them a bunch of times and I've rarely heard them play anything off that record.
