THE NEW RELIGION

Communicating on the text is worse than what I did because it's a habit
I can fix what I did but can you break the habit?
Refrain from touching the keys, can you?
Can you open your mouth and bring your mind over to me?

Refrain from flipping it open, can you?
Even if you lost yours & someone offered you theirs, could you?
Could you avoid the neon light, the digital flip-talk & instead, come over and go for a walk
We'd talk

Can you put aside the new technology
The digital signal
Back to the old days to hear me speak my apology

Can you break the habit of a digital criminal?
