I seriously doubt that. Fenway holds what, 40K? You hold the PJ20 festival there, sell that thing out 3 nights in a row.

festival more than likely. i meant a concert. and fenway holds just under 40k for games. i would think for a concert that number would go up since you'd have fans on the field.... so im assuming capacity would be in the 45k area.

Saw a few shows at Fenway... Springsteen (both nights), Jimmy Buffett and the Stones. I love, love LOVE Fenway and it's a fun place for a concert.

And, of course, it would give all of you an opportunity to experience some of our legendary Boston hospitality.

I always thought that included being brainwashed into believing that Boston was the center of the universe, smoking grass, fighting about war, politics, and Splenda?!?

Oh wait- that's just an afternoon with Crazybreed... ;)

Considering Pearl Jam could barely sell out the TD Banknorth Garden 1 night in a row last year, what makes you think they could sell out Fenway over 3 nights??

So they can barely sell 20K tickets, but 120K no problem?

I have been to a few shows at Fenway and unfortunately, depending on the stage position, the whole bleacher section is usually blocked off. This greatly decreases the capacity of Fenway for a concert.

On top of that the people who live around Fenway have openly complained about the increases concerts at the ballpark. As much as I love Pearl Jam, and Theo's love for them as well, I would really be surprised to see them play there.

Their acts normally appeal to season ticket holders, or are musically safe acts that won't disturb neighbors(like mellow, no profanity Phish). Thats why bands like Bruce, Jimmy, Dave, Diamond, the Police, etc. have been booked their in the past. Pearl Jam would destroy Kenmore Square for hours!! Sucks, but its the truth.

The sound at Fenway is shitty anyway.
