Fuck GLEE! I think KOL should be admired for not selling out. Well, anymore than they already have.

    gotta stick with KOL on this one. the creator of that show sounds more spoiled than the people who watch it.

    I've never watched Glee, and I've never bought or seen KOL. They can both fuck themselves.

    As much as I hate KOL for selling out Caleb is right on this one. Use Somebody has been force fed to millions of people already and I don't blame KOL for not wanting to push this song anymore. Plus like Caleb said he's never even seen the show.

    that is awesome.

    I am not a fan of either, but the guy from Glee makes me hate them even more. If a band doesn't want to promote their album/song through your portal that is their right. Just because you have a popular TV show doesn't give yo uthe right to think you can get any band to give you any song.

    Had it been another Volkswagon commercial though.... ;)

    Also, the guy went after Slash: Murphy also responded to a recent attack on the show by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, who had also rejected a request to use his old band's music on Glee on the grounds that he — well, totally hates the show. "Usually I find that people who make those comments, their careers are over; they’re uneducated and quite stupid," Murphy said.

    The guy sounds like a spoiled kid quite frankly. If Slash thinks the show is shit (I agree) then why should his music be on the show. Howabout the Glee people write some of their own damn tunes.

    So having your song on a hit TV show is selling out? I guess consider PJ and EV sellouts then too. Or is it selling out because you don't like the show Glee?

    I don't think its selling out, but if the band doesn't like the show, why should they put their tunes on it?

    How exactly did KOL sell out? They dared to write a couple of catchy songs, which happened to capture everybody's attention? Please.............

    In terms of this argument, the Glee guy sounds like an absolute prick. I'm sure everybody has seen the little Twitter fight KOL's drummer had with the guy, resulting in Nathan being labelled a homophobe:

    Nathan: "Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating seven year-olds how to say fuck."

    Ryan Murphy: "It's telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited cliché, in a time where young gay men are killing themselves all over the country because of hatred like this."

    Now I'm gonna hold my hand up here and say that I've seen an episode of Glee, and if anyone is reducing a group of people to a cliché, it's the writers - the gay character is one great big, flamboyant queen of a stereotype. Is that really helping middle America to break down its prejudices?

    All the KoL hatred cracks me up. God forbid a band make a lot of money. They must be sellouts. :roll:

    I'm glad they told the Glee guy to shove it up his ass. I haven't seen the show, but unfortunately had to hear people at work drone on about it forever at a lunch one time.

    But this isn't about them simply using the song, Glee actually makes a cover of the songs. The band probably doesn't want to hear sugary-sweet autotuned versions of their songs floating around.
