The Decemberist

So they have the number 1 album this week with their newest "The King is Dead"

I picked it up and I really like the album very different from their other albums as it does not seem to have an overall theme.

That said getting the new ablum made me go back and listen to my older decemberist albums i have picuresque and Hazards of Love.

I think i've underated this band for a while it is all clicking for me and i'm really starting to like them. :D

Anyone else hear the new one?

    I streamed it on NPR, it is pretty different but I like it. They are a band that I listen to when I'm tired of everything and want something different.

    Yeah I know what you mean.

    On the new one Down by the Water and This is Why We Fight are top notch i think.

    I love Gillian Welch's vocals on it!
