Happy Birrtday Eddie!!! (might as well get this started early)

Happy Birthday, Eddie! Like most of us fans, we want to feel like we're giving you something, since we feel like you give us so much. I just want to tell you how your music and your story helped me this year. I had to choose whether or not to turn my father into the police- he's harming children- or turn a blind eye to it like the rest of my family. I knew that there is the chance that most of my family could end up arrested because of this, and I could end up beind disowned- those are all pretty big consiquences. But I also knew in my heart that the right thing to do was to stop him, it was just a matter of beliving that doing the right thing, and folling my heart, were worth it. And every time I was really stuck on that, I'd end up hearing "daughter" or "rearviewmirror" on the raido, or in my dreams, or something. And I could think of you as an example of someone who has commited themselves to following their heart and standing up for what you believe in- you've been doing it for years, and you're still here. In the end, I did the right thing, I choose to work with the police. Nothing much has happened yet, the world hasn't changed, but I know that I did the right thing and I'm happy with myself about that.

I hope this next year of your life gives you good health, success and lots and lots of opportunities to do the things that make you happy. And do know that, to lots and lots of us fans, you have given us some things that are priceless.

    You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40. Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 . . .. and your dreams are gone.

    But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would! So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.

    You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday! You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there. Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."

    Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"
