Mr. 4and20's birthday is on Australia day...we both would love to visit someday so one year, we went to 'The Outback' for his birthday and asked them if they were doing any specials for Australia Day...the server asked 'What's Australia day?'. We told him, and he dropped his fake Aussie accent for the rest of the night.

    Happy Day Aussies!
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I have never heard anyone do a good Aussie accent. He must have been terrible.

It's a great place. I am biased but I love it.

    Thanks for the well wishes.

4and20, thank you, I needed a good laugh.

And Happy Aussie Day to all my current and former Aussie friend's I've made over the years (mostly in Whistler, BC) and I suppose to all Aussie's I'm not friends with, I think there are more out there..
  • I didn't listen to Sam Kekovich, I had pasta instead of lamb today, how very un-Australian of me.

Well in terms of Aussie cuisine, my day started off worst, and gradually turned foreign.

    Weet-bix for breakfast

    Chicken schnitzel roll for lunch

    Thai Panang curry for dinner

I haven't had weet-bix in about 15 years I think (in Canada). I completely forgot about them and really liked them. Living in the Southern USA now so I doubt there are any down here, same with Shreddies.

Weet bix is better than what I think Shreddies are. I think that is just shreaded wheat that tastes like shit.

I have weet-bix most days. Probably 99 times out of a hundred

4 weetbix, and half a spoon of honey.... is my breakfast

And it's out national day, held annually on the 26th of January. It celebrates the arrival of the first fleet to Australia in 1788. But nowadays it celebrates all the things we love about our country. Traditionally there are lots of citizenship ceremonies, fireworks, bbqs, free concerts, lots of patriotism and lots of drinking

I don't listen to radio, but I still voted. A mate's band was in the running, so I thought I would give him my support
