Is there really a difference from one to the other?

    He nails the scream
    I went to the concert
And I fought through the crowd
Guess I got a little too excited
When I thought you were around

    4/23/03 Opens with DTE..!

from 5H notes: Ed says a quick, "All right ... let's go!" and PJ opens with a slamming 'DTE' in this smallish venue shaped like a UFO. The sold out Illinois crowd is more than receptive to Pearl Jam, especially with this ferocious opener great Stone solos throughout

Oh hell yeah! Thats easily one of the best versions the band has done. Along with Lisbon 1, Zagreb and Perth...all from 2006.

2003 versions were too slow and it took away some of the ferociousness from the song. 2006 got it back in a major way!

Live on Two Legs by far. Inspired vocal and easily Stone's best DTE guitar solo. the Monkey Wrench Radio version is pretty bad ass too. it's sort of a mixed tempo of how it is on the album and how fast most live performances are.

My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?

The Champaign version is full of energy, but Ed does fuck up a little. I vote for Torino right now. Eds vocals were spot on the whole freaking night. Do the Evolution was no different. Certainly one of the best versions vocally anyway.

I would vote for this one too, it was when they played it faster.
Champaign Il, 03 was really good too.

Live on Two Legs is the best version I have. It wasn't as good on the Binaral tour, but I'll have to check out the adeli.....show

Uniondale 03 could have been a perfect version, unfortunately Ed forgets the lyrics at the end..
Mexico II 03 is awesome, the crowd is singing along VERY loud!

I can't remember which one, but one of the Wembley shows from 2000 has the best scream.

the live on 2 legs version has the best guitar solo Stone has ever done in that song, I think any version in 98 blows away any version today, just cause the song was so fresh and Ed would just fuckin belt out the lyrics with all his power
