I got to thinking the other day...they should've included the Know Your Rights cover from 03. Would've fit in nicely with the other two covers.
Ha, that's about right!
Know Your Rights would be pretty cool. I'm not a fan of either of the covers on the new one... lots of great covers from '03 though.

03 seemed to have alot of great stuff, i reckon some of the best.

NAIS - LOXL

Performance time in 2000 is about 5:40, and on LOXL is about 5:00. So they sped it up by roughly 10%
But this is not new for their songs. It seems they don't want to have a slower pace anymore. Remember how "I Got Shit" used to be played?
I Got Shit - 1995 (4 minutes of playing)

I Got Shit - 2010 (3:30 minutes of playing - minus the 15 second ending that was added)

These songs used to have a timid, paced, melancolic way about them. Now its all about speed. Songs like Evenflow and SOLAT used to have an awesome groove. Now it's all about speed. Its unfortunate, but they've been making significant changes to their music for 15 years. Its nothing new.... but it's why the early live versions of songs are my holy grail(s), and why I easily passed on LOXL from the start. ...and it's why I'm thrilled about boots coming out with the VS/Vitalogy reissue!

That's why I'm not buying it.
i would rather see them slow down the BPM and hear them play ten less songs aswell.
I also reckon they are artists they need to be in a studio for along time write and produce some great music, not trite like Backspacer witch they could do in there sleep. Also fuck all the backward looking reissues more moving forward the past has been done.
I dunno. Stuff in 2000 and 03 was played slower and there was the same number of songs they do now.
Not sure if I'd rather them slow stuff down or rehearse more. Too many mistakes imo.
Some stuff I don't mind, but when you have stuff as groovy as Evenflow or Animal and you play it as fast as possible it's missing a huge part of the song.
I guess it's not for us to decide how they play their tunes.
