DMB Playing in Summer of 2011

Dave Matthews Band:

2011 is our 20th anniversary as a band and we want to celebrate by playing music together. While we are still taking the year off from touring, we have decided to plan four multi-day, multi-artist music events that will take place this summer. We will be sending out save the date emails and announcing more information soon but we wanted to share the news with our fans first.


Guess they heard about PJ20. :D

    I just saw this too.

    I know it's highly unlikely but I would love a 3 day weekend at Alpine with Pearl Jam and DMB to celebrate both their 20th anniversaries.

    I know, I know...Most people on here don't like Dave, and some do but at Alpine, DMB are a very good concert and experience.

    Just a dream, that's all.

    I was joking about this idea that will never happen to a few friends myself :) Pearl Jam's my number one but also gotta say I am a huge DMB fan as well! Now I will be more broke than ever between the PJ festival & the DMB festival!

    My friend who is a Dave fan filled me in and assumed DMB and PJ would co-headline the 20 year anniversary festival but since the mods bumped this out of PJ related music, I guess I know my answer. Would be pretty cool though. My opinion of DMB is they are hit or miss. If they stay away from their 30 minute jams and Dave sticks to his vocals they are pretty good hence the reason I would always rather see Dave and Tim.

    DMB is def my second favorite live act to see. Great live shows and its become a summer tradition seeeing them every year. Carter is honestly a beast on the drums!

    Save the dates! DMB will host four three-day music festivals across the US this summer. The multi-stage events will feature a wide array of diverse musical talent with Dave Matthews Band performing a headlining set each night. Exact locations, lineups, ticketing and lodging info will be announced soon.

    Not very happy about the East dates as Dispatch is playing Boston the same dates and I already bought my tickets. Though I would rather see Dispatch than Dave I would have been happier to see both.

    OF COURSE I am not doing anything basically all of June except for the DMB20 Northeast dates :lol: I have work orientation that I can't miss on the Friday and Saturday. Hoping they sell day passes so my friends & I can at least go Sunday! But on the bright side, I will be saving a lot of much needed cash (especially for PJ20 :D ), so guess I gotta look at it that way! Plus I'm sure I'll be seeing DMB many more times in the future, so it's all good.

    I'm not into Dave or any of the bands in that genre but if I was, that is a sick lineup and much larger than I thought it would be. Plus there will be late night shows at local venues which means Borgata, House of Blues, etc. That will be a fun weekend for Dave fans AND it's in a very accessible and fun place (if you stay away from the ghetto) that is easily accessible to the East Coast.

    Are you watching Pearl Jam?
