Going for the weekend there in a few months. Has anyone been? What is there to do of an evening??

I only visited Sheffield for a day about 20 years ago when we were walking in the Yorkshire Dales. We didn't do a great deal. My main memory is sitting in a cafe and a girl behind the counter in a very strong Yorkshire accent shouting "chip botty twarce" which translated was "chip butty twice"

Too tough for you up there huh?

We went to a Clapton show at Sheffield Hallam Arena a few years back. It was just off the motorway so we didn't really go into Sheffield. It took less time to get home than it did from the PJ show at the London O2.

Used to me a good music circuit in the 60s and 70s (my Dad used to play there a lot) don't know if there still is ...but I'm guessing that doesn't help
