Saw today she's lawyered up and suing the mall due to the security guards posting security video on youtube.

I hate lawsuits as much as anyone, but they likely shouldn't be making videos from their security system public.

when i 1st saw this i thought it was fake. look at the reactions of everyone else in the picture, not one person looks around or back. come on if you heard someone fall into the water you wouldn't turn your head? seems fishy to me.

If it's the Berkshire Mall in Massachusetts it wouldn't surprise me if people didn't turn their heads...

Turns out... the 'Big Brother' of 1984 turns out to be... US.
It has gotten to the point where you can't do anything out in public anymore. I mean, really... you could be scratching your ass in public... when you think no one is watching... and appear on YouTube because a security camera at the gas station across the street catches it and someone posts... next thing you know... you are 'Ass Scratch Guy' to 700,000 people.
This woman was doing a dumbshit thing and it got caught on camera... and yeah, it's funny as hell. A decade ago, the only ones who would have gooten the laugh were the people in the mall and the security guys behind the camera. Should she sue? If anything, she should sue herself for being a dumbshit.
We just have to come to terms that being in public nowadays means exactly that... being in public. With the number of cameras on the street (including all of those cameras in cell phones)... you cannot be in public and expect your privacy anymore. Be careful when you're out there... you don't want the video of you, picking your nose in your car to go viral and see yourself on Tosh.0.

Wouldn't surprise me if the dumbest players in this event turn out to be the mall cops who posted private security video on YouTube. We'll be hearing next how they were fired, I'm guessing.

    ...
And that also goes under the title, 'What do you expect', because, after all, they are Mall Cops.

Well, they are mall cops. I'm sure if the local Taco Bell is taking applications, their yearly salary shouldn't drop too much.

I heard she may sue because no one helped her. We should issue one month jail sentences to idiots who make fools of themselves anonymously and then announce to the world, "hey, that was me!" when a video goes viral.

But it appears she is an upstanding citizen. She just got off probation for stealing a co-workers credit card at raking up $5K in bills ... and she pulled that stunt off after getting of probation for a hit-and-run.

That is why I find it so funny that people are irate about the Patriot Act when the whole population is doing something the government would probably like to do, but could never pull off.
