What's the most you have ever paid to see a pro sports game, NBA, NFL, MLB, etc?

Kinda wanna see Lebron and co. vs Bulls. Tell me it's worth (or not worth) the money!

If you enjoy it it's worth it. You can always cut back on few things to make up the difference. I recently spent a lot of money on a good bottle of wine but it was worth every penny.

How much is it for sport in your neck of the woods?

NBA (say Lakers at staples or Nicks at MSG)?
    Yankees?
    NFL?
    NHL?

    Man united match?
Day at the cricket in England?

    Be interesting.

Here in Australia (for those interested) for good seats at the game about

$40 for NRL (national Rugby League)
$70 for AFL (Australian Football League)
anywhere over a hundred for a good seat at the cricket.

I've spent $75/ticket for Heart tickets...totally worth it...small intimate setting and the show was recorded for the Palladia network

Spent $140/ticket to sit 6 rows from the sidelines at a Seahawks game...meh...cool to sit close to the players, but security won't let the players sign autographs during the game, hard to keep up with what's going on since you are essentially at 'field level'

Spent $95/ticket for club seats at a Seahawks game...2 lone seats, didn't have to sit next to anybody else, right in front of the clubhouse, easy access to get beer, food, and bathrooms (no line!) got a free program...walked around to see what else was not available to the general public. TOTALLY worth it.

I was also given 'suite tickets' to a Mariners game....not sure how much those cost...but if you have the money...free food, beer, soda, popcorn, peanuts. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

  • its so much harder for me with sporting events than with concerts... usually I KNOW i'll be pleased with the results of a concert... if i paid $300 to see the bulls lose to my least favorite team i'd really be kicking myself afterwards

i'd say $100 would be my limit for regular season... $200 for postseason (IF my team actually has a decent chance)

it'd be fun to go to bulls v. heat just to talk shit the whole time... how much for seats behind the heat bench?

Spent $550 for a pair of MLB all-star game tickets last year.

usually, I refuse to pay high prices for sports tickets ever since they jacked up the face value over the past 10 years.

    Back in my day..........!

I paid around $800 for a pair of tickets to a PJ show at the Borgata. Coincidentally, I paid about $150 for a pair to the second night at the Borgata.

Would do it again if they played a GA show again on the East coast.

I've been studying ticket prices for Bulls/Heat in Feb. There actually are some 2 rows behind Heat bench for like $1200 a seat.

Prices for this game are crazy because of Lebron. There's some in the 300's (center) going as much as $300.

But it's Lebron...like it or not he's damn good...

PJ's a whole different story. I'd consider paying so much more for good PJ seats then a sporting event. And I love my sports...

So prices depend on who is playing who? so if its Bulls v Heat more expensive then say Bulls Vs Clippers?

That's shit, but I guess understandable...

Oh for sure. You're exactly right. Heat, Lakers, Celtics, big bucks.

Bears vs. Packers game this Sunday they are saying is going to break records for ticket prices for an NFC championship game. I don't think I'd go for free to that. Toooooo cold.

So packers are Green bay right???

NFL is just one game I can not get. I have tried watching it. Just too much stop and start, and switching from defence to offense.

I work mornings, finish at 9am and go back to work at 2. About 2 years ago, the Superbowl was on (I think it was the one with patriots), and I thought I would watch it. It started at 9 or 10 am (my time) and it wasn't over by the time I had to go to work at 2. Too stop and start for my liking. And too much padding. We play physical sports, and no padding.

The prices of the specific seats are always the same, but once the game is sold out brokers and scalpers hike the prices. So if it says $100 on the ticket, it all depends on how big the game is. So if the Yankees are playing Baltimore you wont pay much more, but if they're playin Boston you could easily pay $300 or more.

not exactly. face on a bulls ticket to see the heat, lakers, celtics is much higher than the face value of seeing the clippers, grizzlies, other crap team.

Like the price I pay for concerts I have never spent more than $20 over cost of tickets, although I have broken the rules for a few Yankee World Series tickets. I paid double the price for tickets at Yankee Stadium for game 6 in 96 against Atlanta. The Yankees first W.S. win in 18 years! 8-)

I also paid double, $220 for game 5 in 2000 at Shea against the Mets. It took me an hour to talk my friend into paying that much for the ticket. Knew tickets would be astronomical at Yankee Stadium if Mets won, which we would not pay ( we're both too cheap  ). Really wanted to be there for a clinching game against crosstown rivals & have bragging rights ( can you EVER even imagane that Chicago  ). Most likely will never happen again in my lifetime, but we were there that night 8-), PRICELESS ! Both Great investments  .

Really, Wow. To be honest I've never seen that done before. To my knowledge all the NY area sports have set prices for their seats for the whole season. I could be wrong.
