A CHRISTIAN pastor has blamed Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd for the floods devastating Queensland.
That's because Mr Rudd "spoke against Israel" in December 2010, Daniel Nalliah from the Catch the Fire Ministries has written on his website.
"It is very interesting that Kevin Rudd is from Queensland. Is God trying to get our attention? I believe so," he said.
Mr Rudd, during a visit to Israel in December, called on the Jewish state to allow international inspectors into its nuclear facilities.
He also called for a halt to the construction of Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Mr Nalliah said every time America went against Israel there was "disaster in the land."
He sees the Queensland floods as a parallel.
what a nincumpoop

the sunday after katrina hit, the head deacon in my mother's church (southern baptist) prayed how he understood god's intention to punish new orleans just as sodom and gomorrah had been targeted for destruction
these are 6-day creationists in the year 2thousandandfucking5
unbelievable
literally
"what a long, strange trip it's been"
yeah ... this will get a lot of people riled up ... but honestly, think the world would be a better place without it ...
people have a right to beleive in what they want
But I agree ORGANISED religon just leads to bigotry.
My god is the one true god.
How many gods are there if thats the case
What an awesome God to believe in.
Pat Robertson claiming Hurricane Katrina was God's Wrath for homosexuality... Rev. Phelps' funeral protests saying those soldier die because of the same thing. Those nuts are out there.
And, it not just the nuts that say this shit... it's people that buy into it. Branch Davidians bought into Koresh's message... The People's Temple followers drank the Kool-aid in their belief of Jim Jones... Jim and Tammy Baker continued to rake in millions even after his conviction of ripping them off.
And it's not just Christianity... I mean some fucking Ayatollah declares a Fatwa on Salmon Rushdie for WRITING A BOOK. That's crazy shit, right? I mean, writing a book... and the guy gets a bounty put on his head? Really? And the worst part is... there are probably some crazy fucks out there that will try to kill the guy. Same thing goes for that Dutch cartoonist... it's a fucking cartoon. THAT is a Capital Crime? Fuckin' aye.
...
I think the religions themselves are beautiful in their messages of peace and love... but, all that shit about defining good and evil and Heaven and Hell can be used to demonize others to make it easier to justify killing other of differing beliefs. God always seems to be on the side of the one doing the killing, right?
But, it's probably not God... and more like the leaders or influential people that come up with the justification.
My personal belief... if Jesus and Mohammed were to meet... they would not be happy with the thing we do in their names.
Hail, Hail!!!
outside of buddhism - i'm not too sure peace and love scream out of any other religion ... granted i'm not a religious expert by any means ... what i do know tho is that countries that are engaged in conflicts around the world tend to be religious countries ...
This is true. However, the extremists who misinterpret the tenets of religion show no signs of peace and love in their hearts...........
I tend to think its the group mentality and thus the leaders. who are bad
most religons basis is in goodness, its just the delivery by to the group, from the group.
well ... take homosexuality ... i would say two very large religions have an opinion of them that is not founded on anything good ... maybe, it has been adapted into the divisive nature that it is now but at the end of the day - i'd say a world without religion would be a much better place ...
