    Kansas now has more losses to an 8/9 seed in the second round than national titles. The Jayhawks won national titles in 1988, 2008 and last year. They lost in the second round to an 8/9 seed as the top seed in 1992 to UTEP, 1998 to Rhode Island, 2010 to Northern Iowa and yesterday with those losses by a combined 15 points. They also lost three times to a 7/10 in the second round - 1990 to UCLA by one, 2014 to Stanford by three and 2015 with a 13-point loss to Wichita State. 

    Of course two of their three titles were as a one seed. They were a six seed in 1988 when Danny Manning led them to the title.
