Man oh man thanks so much for that video, that was so awesome. Did you spot Scott Van Pelt Nd his bald head at the 1:15 Mark a former TERP? I lived a few miles from the university, played summer ball at the old Cole Field House with the likes of Len Bias and his brother in the mid 80's. We ran summer camps there for the local kids mostly from DC.
Love the to see the students having so much fun, wow time has flown by I can still remember seeing Grant Hill playing at Cole and we cheered against them Dukies to the bitter end. My daughter is considering MD to attend in a couple years.

That is all so awesome!!! My younger sister visited this weekend and is considering following in her big sister's footsteps (I secretly hope she becomes a Terp class of 2018)! Wish I went to the game this year but due to the family visiting, stayed in and watched it on TV with them. So exciting! Especially happy for all my friends who are seniors- we beat Duke their freshman year and we beat Duke their senior year!

Anybody else watch the 30 for 30 last night? Awesome! I went to a NC State basketball camp one summer around that time frame. Whittenburg was hitting shots from mid court like they were foul shots.
Alright, alright, alright!

Yea, that 30 for 30 about NC St. was really good. I remember when that happen. After all these years it's STILL amazing what that team did. Whittenburg could really shoot. Sydney Lowe was a good college point guard. Thurl Bailey had a decent NBA career.
How about some of the players from back then? Michael Jordan, Sam Perkins, James Worthy, Brad Daugherty, Ralph Sampson, Akeem Olajujuan, Clyde Drexler. UNBELIEVABLE era for College hoops.

Syracuse University basketball has been under NCAA investigation for a period of “years,” a source with knowledge of the case told CBSSports.com.
That source said the school has received a letter of preliminary inquiry from the NCAA.
The specific nature of the alleged violations was not disclosed by the source but the transgressions were described as both major and wide-ranging in nature. The investigation also encompasses football but is believed to primarily involve basketball. Syracuse has been penalized only once by the NCAA in a major case according to the association's legislative database. That was in 1992 in a case that focused on extra benefits in the basketball program.
The NCAA would not confirm the investigation.
"We can't comment on current, pending or potential legislation," said NCAA spokeswoman Emily Potter.
The case is not related to allegations made against former assistant coach Bernie Fine. Federal authorities dropped their investigation of sexual abuse claims made against Fine in November.
A year ago Syracuse admitted to an ongoing NCAA inquiry into possible violations of its drug policy. The potential violations were reported by Yahoo! Sports.
“As we said last year at this time, we are collaborating with the NCAA as part of an ongoing inquiry," said Kevin Quinn, Syracuse senior vice president for public affairs. "Given this process is ongoing, we are unable to comment further at this time.”
The ongoing investigation has apparently grown larger in scope. When asked to characterize how wide-ranging the probe might be, a source with knowledge of the case told CBSSports.com: “Throw a dart at the [NCAA] Manual [and you would hit a violation by Syracuse]."
As a private university. Syracuse would not necessarily be subject to Freedom of Information requests to reveal the letter of inquiry. The preliminary letter is sent to schools as formal notice that an investigation is being conducted. The next step in the NCAA process would be a notice of allegations, which would spell out detailed violations.
The Orange begin play in the NCAA Tournament Thursday against Montana in San Jose, Calif.
