Mirror Ball - Pearl Jam and Neil Young

Just wondered how many of you have it and what is your opinion of it? I'll be very honest and admit I have tried to stay away from the Neil Young Pearl Jam thing but after listening to a MP3 I have of Long Road (The Live one at the 'Heroes' concert) constantly just lately and listening to Mike's recent interview. I have succumbed to purchasing it.

So basically what can I expect?
"First of all, there’s the palpable camaraderie and good feeling you get from the entire band as they smile and nod at each other, and huddle together in various formations throughout the show --- They look like they really like each other. They look stoked!"

Threw it on the other day for the first time in a long time and loved the hell out of it. Seriously, the hole in the middle of the CD is 8 times larger now.

its great. i can definitely hear Pearl Jam's contribution, even without Ed. Irons rock on the drums.

was made very quick and you can tell but this is a good thing in this case.. You can hear Neil, Stone and Mike's guitars flowing and grinding throughout the album.. amazing guitars but the highlight for me is hearing jack irons and jeff smash the shit out of the album. I love I'm the ocean!!!
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

great record and EVEN BETTER LIVE!!!!

the gig in Dublin was filmed by Jim Sheridan-an Oscar nominated irish director...it never saw the light of day but hopefully someday will...Stone smashed a guitar at the the end of RITFW..only time it's ever happened i believe...

    great gig..

    Neil Young is the master...

I'm going to get flamed to death for this, and sound like a total Eddie Vedder fanboy. But I think this record would have been much better if Vedder sang instead of Neil Young. I just can't stand his voice. The songs are brilliant (especially I'm The Ocean) but I just can't get into them because of that voice. :(
