check em out. a band from rhode island. have elements from many generations of music have had opportunity to meet most of the band some of the most genuine people. young kids whove made it big and only to get bigger. folky blues with some deep dark lyrics, upbeat and almost get up and dance country. and they do one of the sickest covers of la bamba.

  • saw them do a nirvana cover show in rhode island a week or two ago. WOW. called them selves deervana and played an old school set with obviously some hits. was greatest completion to my past year of music being able to see pj in boston and both bridge schools, soundgarden at lolla and Alice in chains in boston, to complete that 1 year of great music with an upcoming band covering nirvana was a great completion.

    other great songs

baltimore blues no 1 (which has a video of them on david letterman show)

Last.fm says that they are similar to The Avett Brothers who I really love. When I played The Avett Brothes Radio I heard one or two songs but I can't remember the titles. They were really good songs.

Saw them open for Dr. Dog last year and really enjoyed them. Downloaded a couple songs like Easy and Baltimore Blues No. 1 but definitely need to check out some albums.

Love these guys. Seen them a few times and always a fun show, have some great songs. I'm going to see John and Ian next week at City Winery in NYC and just picked up tix for their upcoming tour with Dawes in March. Good times ahead!
