A letter to my dogs ( R.I.P)
whispering hands

Yes you were but dogs, but I loved you like children.
You gave me hope, you gave me love, you gave me your lives.
You two were the ones who made me the human I am today; a better person.
I saved you from my mother, then you saved me from her in return.
You bore witness to the insanity that was my mother, and still stayed.
You travelled the country with me from PJ show to PJ show.
You made me realize that I as a human owed only YOU my time.
The two of you made every day worth getting up to face.
I miss you both so much, and wish everyday that you were still here.
But alas, that was not to be, for you had to go, and I was forced to remain.
I wish everyday that I didn't have to let go, but I know I was right to say good-bye.
I pray that when I die it is you two who come to take me home..
Until then I will always miss you.
