    Saw him on 60 Minutes a while back. Was very humbling to hear a Medal of Honor recipient refer to himself as a mediocre soldier. Will have to check this out.

    Seen it. I remember thinking how out of place those soldiers seemed in that environment. They just came across as pretty clueless.

    A bunch of MTV generation Americans in the mountains of Afghanistan really isn't the best mix.

    But yet they were completely surrounded and almost beaten and were able to get every solider back.

    That valley sounds incredibly scary. Soldiers are scared to take a shit during the day because of how dangerous it is.

    Not all of them came back. And they ended up abandoning that outpost in the end. Which makes you wonder if it was all worth it.

    No? I thought they got everyone back, not necessarily alive, but I thought they got everyone.

    And I am not saying whether it was worth it or not, just was impressed with what I heard about Giunta's actions.

    The fella with the latin name copped it. - Martinez or something. He was killed during the big firefight in the valley.
