Who's snowed in in the northeast. I am. But because if technology I'm still putting in an 8-10 hour day at home. Hopefully my wife gets outside soon to shovel the driveway. ;)

    a weatherman has the best job..genius if right...weather is unpredictable if wrong

    I'm so sick of the snow coverage anymore in the northeast

    Every phuckin storm they act like we haven't had snow before

    This is the broadcast in order :

    1)Check with the Weatherman/Woman (one inside/one outside)
    2)Go to Reporters in various spots to see how bad its snowing
    3)Check with the local Road Crew and How much Salt and Trucks they have running
    4)Go to the local Home Depot to talk to people buying rock salt and shovels
    5)Back to the Weaterman/Woman for more totals and when the storm will be ending
    6)Sports
    7)Weather again
    8)End of Broadcast

    Technically, they can save manpower by just editing the previous tape of the report with the story at the airport, road crew and home depot. All they'd have to do is change the dates and snow totals.

    I work at a news station. You wouldn't believe how much the news dept gets off on reporting snow storms. It's amazing.

    Love the snow. One of the main reasons wont move out of the northeast. Just hate the news people and coverage.

    Agree 100%. It's winter. It snows. Been doing it for years. Network TV becomes a daily list of what's closed. My governor is correct. We've become a nation of wussies.

    I just watched the most asinine live broadcast of a "news" reporter driving a bobcat. She was giggling, wearing the bobcat driver's parka, and promptly drove right into a curb.
