    That bridge is AMAZING, and along with Pilate, theyre two of the best bridges in songs that are very underrated.

    the guitar kind of kills it for me, but i must admit i'm warming up to it. i've just recently started to like it after i heard their stellar performance of it at DC this year :)

    One of their worst songs. I think the chorus is what makes it seem so stupid to me. Ee-Vac-U-a-tion. Too many syllables. Like Bon Jovi's Bad Med-i-cine. This song should have missed the album and probably not been released on Lost Dogs.

    yeah...weak chorus and the guitar parts have some real low points for me...i think this is the only pj song i don't like now that i think of it.

    a guy came on here once saying he sings evacuation everytime he sits on the toilet, i think that ruined it for a lot of people. hehehe.

    I heard someone sing Ejaculation instead of Evacuation once now whenever I hear the song I think of that...Definately don't hate it, but one of the worst Pearl Jam songs.

    I used to loathe this song, always skipped it. Then I started listening to it and it grew on me. Then I actually started liking it and would seek it out to listen to. It is a great song.
    Took a long time to appreciate it, but so worth it in the end.

    Well I never did like it and in fact it's the only PJ song I never put on my iPod. However I ain't listened to it in years so will go listen now and see if it needs a re-evaluation.
    All my favourite singers have stolen all of my best lines.

    Opinion. I dont hate Evacuation at all, it's certainly not one of their best songs but I can put up with it. Sure the chorus is not great but the whole song is not woeful, there's so much worse crap around with some of the shit that's coming out these days.

    The chorus serves its purpose. Its supposed to be a warning and thats exactly what it sounds like...and annoying siren.

    I like the song. Best bridge of any pearl jam song in my opinion. Pilate is a close second. I also like the lyrics. Lots of symbolism

    Certainly one of the worst PJ songs, and definately the worst out of the first 3 rockers on Binaural. Breakerfall is much better. I still like it though.
