Jeff Solo Album, Pj On Studio In Autumn/winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In an interview Jeff Ament gave on a spanish surf-skate magazine before PJ's summer tour, some interesting news emerge: the Pearl Jam bassist has just finished recording a 10 song solo album, titled "aTONEment", which he is planning to release this summer by the Ten Club. He's also currently working with his old hardcore punk band, Deranged Diction: they plan to release a record with some old songs they recorded in '82 in Montana but never officially released, plus some brand new material. He has also completed work on a long-in-the-works album with King's X leader Doug Pinnick, that will be released next year. As for Pearl Jam, he says the band will be back in studio in autumn/winter.

    of course they'll be back in the studio autumn/winter cause october is bridge and november more than likely, election shows..so more like december they'll be back in the studio.

    Looks like a new PJ album won't emerge until next summer (late spring at the earliest).
    So this life is sacrifice...

    I thought he said that the foundations of a few (like 3-4) songs had been worked on, but that they were so much in beginning process (of those songs) that he couldn't even give an idea of what direction the songs or album might be going. So I wouldn't take it as, "we only need 7 more songs".

    cant remember if it was the SPin interview with Zach or if it was when we met him but yea...theres def 5-6 that sound REALLY good to him and that Stones already got the riffs down for some...dunno how far theyve gotten seeing that theyre in the studio b4 eds tour and prolly meet up again when he's done.
    DOn't forget...there musta been a LOT of tracks left off of avocado that might went nowhere and they just fine tuning them for this next one..who knows
    its all speculation and wishful thinking.

    So one maybe 2 of those will actually make the final cut for the album, meaning they need roughly 40 more ideas to work with, so 1/8 of the way there

    This album is going to rock, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Hope to hear a third three fish album too, doesn't sound too promising though.
