My Aussie cousin Kim sounds exactly like "Kim". She thinks I sound funny, but man she has got the strongest Aussie accent I have ever heard.

Australian accents have their place in society.

    Ziggy's accent is really strong.

And in general, when I hear my fellow kiwis on the news, I cringe so much I get sore shoulders. The NZ accent can be a beautiful thing, but by GOD some of us really do sound like hillbillies.

That's how I feel whenever I see 'Teen Mom' on TV....most of those girls are from the south...and boy...some of those whiny southern accents remind me of nails on a chalkboard!

So I have a strong Aussie accent, hey? I'm a Queenslander. I have a "broad" Aussie accent apparently....but I personally don't think it's that broad. :problem:

haha Well there will be no hiding my accent, will there?! I wonder how long it will take for the Kiwi accent to rub off on me? I was already changing vowels when I was there with you for a week. I noticed by the end I said PLANT like you say it (plAAARnt) instead of how I say it (plANT). I will NEVER say fush n chups though. No siree. I may, however, say "cook the man some fucking eggs".
