    Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was asked about Pearl Jam’s summer music festival in an interview with Missoula’s Trail 103.3 last night. Here is what he said regarding Pearl Jam’s festival:

    “I think Kelly [Curtis, manager] might have let that one out of the bag. I think if anybody in the band had talked about that we might have gotten our wrist slapped a little bit. I think the cart is maybe ahead of the horse on that one. We’ve been working on trying to do something like this for a few years but it’s still in the infancy stage. I think we’re going to do some shows this fall, not really sure where we’re going to do the shows but I think we’d like to include at least kind of the first version of what this festival could be like. I think we’re going to try to include that in with that group of shows. But it’s a full on work in progress right now there’s lots of hurdles to get over at this point to get it right. I think we want it to be semi right before we do it.”

    So if we go on this info from Jeff we can exclude any summer be it late summer weekend bash at all or even if this will happen , why would Kelly C just come out and say Late summer i hope Management will at some point come here and at least clarify as to when this might go down, so people can at least plan accordingly is that to much to ask .... :oops:

    Count me in as dependant.
  • it may not be a festival so to speak. but no reason they cant do a three night stand somewhere and bring a few acts rather than just one to open. maybe start the shows round 3 or 4. no reason that cant be done.
  • see u all at late summer.... ;)

    cant see you all soon enough! :lol::D

    2011 will be a yearlong celebration of Pearl Jam’s twenty-year history. The anniversary festivities kick off in a few weeks with the release of Live on Ten Legs.

    A hint of what more to expect in the months ahead:

    - A spring reissue of Vs. and Vitalogy in new, deluxe formats;
    - The release of Cameron Crowe’s film, Pearl Jam Twenty, along with an accompanying book and soundtrack album;
    - A 20th anniversary destination weekend bash sometime in late summer;- Plus a number of special events and new, unexpected releases!

    Stay tuned here for the latest news.

    Just looked back at the posting from 10C... they never specified a "festival." Maybe what they're planning is one or two shows, just PJ, at a destination location.

    I think Tim even came out in one of the roundtables and sid it was not going to be a festival, just a PJ weekend.
