First day back at work since the holidays.
Quit smoking on the 1st...Really feeling like a need one right now.
My co-workers bitchy, which in turn makes me want to strangle her.
It's going to be a long day.

  • It's been a long day and it isn't even over yet.
All day has been garnished with a visit to my dentist, epic snowfall during the times I was/am outside, my lighter quitted working around 9 this morning, my coffee tastes kinda funny thanks to a new brand which apparently saves the whales or something but still tastes odd, my phone died because it's not frost secured (so no tunes in my ears but crappy euro-whoop-doop pop) and to top it all; when I get home it's birthday huh-ha at the in-laws.

Oh yeah and tomorrow I start out with an exam on Denmark's naval and general maritim role in Western Europe from 1500 to 1900.

So rest assured your're never alone on long days, eventhough some of us starts ours a bit earlier than you ;)

Yes indeed. Shorthanded at work, sure to be busy. Have to drive to our new place to sign paperwork with the landlord and all that stuff to move in March 1st. Supposed to watch hockey with a buddy tonight too.

I'm lucky in that I've had the morning off, but I've got three grant revisions to write before 5:00pm and then work until 10:00pm.
drivingrl: "Will I ever get to meet Gwen Stefani?"
kevinbeetle: "Yes. When her career washes up and her and Gavin move to Galveston, you will meet her at Hot Topic shopping for a Japanese cheerleader outfit.

    Next!"
  • Break time. Brutal workout session this morning. My man Anthony has a fight in 5 weeks so we did a lot of mitt drills and some light sparring. Somehow, I walked away from the "light" sparring session with my second black eye in two weeks.

Now on a 3-hour break until I got back and train some girls.

This is the first of my four days off (FD works a 4-on, 4-off schedule). Normally I work at least 2 extra shifts at the FD on my 4 off since they are always open. This week, I resolve to take the four off and be productive elsewhere.
I knew it all along, see?

It sucks, but it is worth it.

Oh great, just what I needed to hear... Why can't I be completely sedated... for like 5 days. While I do have a high pain tolerance, nut pain is a different ballgame.

While I support anything resulting in fewer humans, it's not like your the typical Walmart shopper or anything, we could probably use another purple-belted firefighter out there making the world a better place.

Yes.... its going on. I'm injured (doing some carpentry work at my fitness center), and have already taught 1 aerobic/strength class, and have 2 more later, due to one of my instructors being sick.
