Now mind you, I heard about this gentleman's death on the news one day, then the birds and fish thing the next.

    Spooky, much?

If this is true, and that is a big if...this guy could have been involved in a lot of shit, fucking gambling debts or an affair come to mind... I am wondering how they were able to specifically target certain animals? wouldn't humans have been killed by this too? or at least been affected enough to know something wasn't right? and how did they get the birds to fly at night, which isn't typically something they do in large flocks anyway I hope it isn't true, but I definitely don't think Fireworks, or running into each other because it was dark is a legitimate excuse...I would be more inclined to believe that avian flu is being covered up. Someone had to have saved one of these birds before the government cleaned them up.

If I run a cross a bunch of dead birds, the first thing I will do is grab a plastic sack, wrap one up, and put it in the freezer. And not tell the authorities I have it.

I saw this and wondered why these blackbirds were flying at night when they don't usually do so?

    Peace
The fireworks explanation is quite believable, as in that is what caused the birds to be in flight during the dark of the night. Blackbirds tend to spook easily when they are on a winter night roost. A human walking under the roost could cause the birds to take the air.
