QR codes?

Okay, I know this will get moved to the 'techs and specs' page, but like anybody really goes there right?

I am photoshopping a picture and want to include a QR code in it. I went to a QR code generator website, created the code, but my phone won't pick it up. So I went to a different generator site, and my phone still won't pick up the code, AND the 2 codes are TOTALLY different! (it's the same link for both codes)

I thought all QR codes were 'universal'? (yes, I checked to make sure I downloaded the correct app on my phone and my phone IS supported) 81? help?

    very funny norm...but I do not need to go to the Maxim website.....would it help if I said my project was PJ related? :|

    i just tried this

    i tried reading it with my shopping program but it was bunk.

    than i downloaded a qr reading program to read the code (quickmark (android market)) and it worked.

    thanks 81, but I don't think an android app will help my 'dumb phone'......my main concern was why the 2 code generator sites came up with different codes for the exact same website...... :twisted: ok, trash the QR code idea.....I'll think of something else.... :roll:

    so i generated a qr code on a different web site and it gave me a different looking code, but my scanning software still registered PJ.com.

    i've never dug into QR codes and how they work, but IMO, you should feel safe using either code that you generated.

    ok...maybe I will use the code...it looks a little outta place on the pic, but I'll use it if I can't figure something else out...
