I'll only have a few of these, as I don't have a lot of PJ stuff I don't need/use, and these aren't big items, but I'd like to find them a good home for someone who'd like them.

    My favourite version of Alive was Manchester 2009 because I was there and it was my first PJ show! Amazing!

    Alive is a special song to me because my brother and I used to play the guitar and sing it to my Mum. I know it's not really about being down and out but when we would sing the chorus it sort of related to our financial situation at the time :lol: , it felt good to sing it out really loud. Just a nice memory I guess. ;)

    Favorite live version of Alive is the recording from Drop in the Park. So much energy for that show, and Dave was on his game. I'm too young to have been there, plus I'm 3,000+ miles away, but just seeing the crowd in video and, at the end of their years of touring Ten, to give that much energy, FOR FREE, to their hometown fans. Unbelievable

    Obviously we know what the song actually means, but what it means to me:

    I was a good kid at heart but was always in trouble growing up - in and out of juvie at least a couple times of year - for stuff every kid does, I just seemed to get caught. Maybe I was just real dumb. As oppose to getting frustrated and lashing out at the system, family and friends, i stayed true to who I was and kept a good attitude.
    When I graduated high school, I was voted both most likely to succeed and to end up in jail.


    Now I am a successful journalist for the largest newspaper in the state i live in.

    When I hear the chorus of Alive, I can't help but think- how the fuck did i make it out of adolescence and young adulthood alive? I took beating after beating from society and the world. I had a cancerous tumor on my right heal when I was 11, I saw things that kids should never have to see and feel things kids should never have to feel.
    It could have shaped my life in a bad way but I didnt let it. I used it as motivation. And now I am still AlIVe and I do deserve to be and there is no question.

    That's what ALIVE means to me.

    What I take from "Alive" is that no matter the bad things that might happen to you and around you, it all boils down to one thing, you're still alive. I also think this song is a glimpse into Ed's soul involving a personal matter of his and even though he wrote it as more of a negative song, I think most of us fans see the glass half full.
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....

    I have seen alot of death and been through alot in my 17 years of life, Alive reminds me that I should make the most of life because I'M STILL ALIVE and alot of my loved ones are not. So I owe it to them to keep going and not give up.

    My fav version of Alive is from Lolla 07, because after PJ went offstage to prepare for their first encore, the crowd kept singing the chorus until Ed came back onstage, and he started singing it with us again. That was awesome.

    The song Alive(the video on MTV) is the first time I saw or heard of PJ. All I can say is that it has been one hell of a ride ever since!!!!

    I was there for the 1st of 3 shows in as many days. Before then, Alive was always just kinda "meh" to me. But it's never been the same.

    I'm not sure what it was...but I felt something special during Alive. Hard to explain, but it seriously felt kinda out of body. It felt amazing...I got a little light headed...and that small hockey stadium was my whole world for a couple of minutes. Maybe it was from the second-hand pot smoke that surrounded me on all sides. Maybe I was dehydrated, or a little under the weather....or maybe it was real. Either way I'll never forget how it felt. And Alive has since been one of my favorites to see/hear live.

    "you survived today...it's you surviving the rain...it's you who we appreciate ...thank you". my favorite version of alive is pinkpop 92. the band was just so into this song, to see ed swing the mic stand and allmost hit jeff is classic.

    and a close second for me is msg 2 '98 when ed finishes the show swinging on his mic chord. so awesome (and i was front row!)

    Milwaukee 2006. First Alive I've seen. The boys opened for Tom Petty and Alive got the crowd going harder than anything Petty followed up with. Proof that PJ can take on any classic band and match/beat them note for note. Great live experience. Hope to see Alive again soon. Thanks for the chance.

    What Alive means to me?
    It means everything,i didn't even know the band yet when i heard it in a "Idol" style programme,still early 90s,that guy was singing it and i thought "Holy f*ck,this song is amazing!" and i decided to find out more about the band.... and i found out ;)
    This is the song which introduced PJ to me,it will always have a special place in my heart :)
