Do you ever feel like such an idiot?
Someone who's given too much
or someone who's missed the point again
felt misunderstood or simply misaligned
or maybe just a person who doesn't get the big joke?
that happens sometimes and then
it kinda feels like there's no going back
especially if it happens too many times!
missed the boat
didn't catch the rope
didn't understand the story
heart cut to the quick
have you ever feel like such a dolt that
there's no going back to feeling right about any of it?
even if you forgive it all,
the only way over it is to leave it in the shadow of behind
with no lingering last looks
this is why we all need the idea of a New Year
and a pure tomorrow
