    Picked up 24/7 call on Thursday morning and I'll have it until Monday morning... but at least (at the moment) I am at home and hopefully won't have to go in!

    I'm so happy this is my last holiday on call... just gave notice and am moving to The Dark Side (private industry) at the beginning of February.

    Who else is out there?

    Nope _ that's Mr. Unlost's calling and he worked yesterday.

    I'm a nurse. Between being a staff nurse, a nursing supervisor and a nurse manager, I've worked many Christmases. And before I was a nurse, I was a reporter and guess what? Worked many Christmases and holidays! :lol:

    2011 will be the first job I've had in many, many years that won't involve 24/7/365 coverage.

    I was working but said to hell with it about halfway through the day and came home. Now I have a nice buzz and an 18 pack sitting out in the snow getting cold. I feel I made the right call.

    I worked until midnight xmas eve, so by the time I got out of there it was technically xmas morning. So far no shifts again till wed, but most likely will be called in. Then the bastards rostered me on for NYE....when I told them 6 weeks ago I wasn't available....I never work NYE....and they had me to finish at 2am NY morning. Not gunna happen! LOL

    I worked a few Christmases, but not since I became a 9-5 Monday to Friday drone 5 years ago. Got off Xmas eve at noon and won't be back to work till Jan 5th!

    I worked on my dad's 2-6 of rye last night. It was great!
