I'm stuck at my room in campus because I cannot fly from London to Athens via Brussels! Hopefully, I can make it on Friday (Christmas Eve)! :) That's when my flight is rescheduled for. Please send me your good vibes and wish me good luck if you want to!

:D My family are over in London and I can't get to see them for xmas so I can relate. My Grandpa has just lost his wife and this is the first xmas by himself after 60 years so it would have been nice to be there for him. I wish you the best of luck!!

Good luck Pap! It's shocking the impact this weather is having on travelling. I've had to change my Xmas plans, but I'm not so far from home as you. Hope things work out for you. We'll try and take care of you until you fly. Don't freeze!

Thank you very much! I am trying so hard not to freeze. The weather is so hard in your country. The good thing is that Brunel University is in Uxbridge (Northwest London) just 15 minutes from Heathrow Airport by taxi, so everytime my flight is cancelled (twice until today) I have the opportunity to come back to campus.

  • I just saw this on the news last night. It's pretty pathetic how these airports couldn't handle this amount of snow. and to affect half a million people. wow. good vibes to you for sure.

I do like the British seasons, because we have some warmth and some cool and some cold. But this happens every year (though not usually so bad) - the whole country suddenly comes to a standstill in the Winter - like it's a great surprise. It is a bit pathetic. We have a winter - we should have had enough time to get used to the idea by now. It's kind of embarrassing, and shitty for people from other countries trying to get home. I have a good feeling in your case though - I think the situation will have improved by the time you need to go.

Me and my two flatmates from India were thinking the same about 30 minutes ago. Hopefully, they can fly back to their country tomorrow morning. Thank you for your support.

I wish so. Thank you so much you guys each as individual for your generous support. I must admit that now I can think a little bit positive that I can go home on Christmas Eve.

Just watching the news, and they said that Heathrow was back to running at 85% capacity today, and seems they have been *shamed* into sorting things out. So hopefully you will be fine. May I apologise to you on behalf of the entire British nation please Pap? ;)
