I am competetive, but you'll clean my clock if you start getting those books together. You have a lot more poetry laying around than I do.

You really do have an amazing poetic voice, Sir Chadwick, get it out there!

Wow, looks like my kind of book. So this is where you guys *really* hang out...... Amazon.com

I will try and pick up a copy of that. Thanks. Looks like a ton of work. Good luck all you published types. Makes me think I should try and raise my game a bit - don't have the first clue about getting published though

A few questions if you'd be so kind?

Is there a minimum # of books you have to print?

Does your publisher do the fulfillment?

What % does Amazon and your publisher take?

    thanks, and good luck!

    Sure

    No

    Not sure what you're asking...

The % taken totally depends on the venue through which the book is purchased. The orders through Amazon and the ones I sign and send net me the most profit.

    Thank you very much!

Well, you may be a fuck up, but I admire you!!

I'm quite happy writing in the forum, and I think my writing has come on loads since doing it, and is great to have the feedback, and I think my writing is so much better than the years I just used to write stuff for myself in a journal - and look at it on my own. There is something liberating and strengthening about having to write your words to be seen a bit and not just hidden away. Having said that, I'm not sure if this would apply to writing for publication for me. I enjoy writing here, and it feels quite spontaneous, and there are loads of brilliant writers around here, whose judgement I respect, so when they say nice things it has an effect on me. I think if I tried to pursue the 'publishable' route it could all get quite stressful and produce more pain than pleasure, kind of as you describe. Thanks for your kind words as ever though Chadwick.

Godspeed all the poets and writers here!

Got'cha. yeah, the ones people order online, like through Amazon, are shipped directly from the publisher. They don't pass through my hands. Only if people want a signed copy do I actually get involved.

    Congratulations on the book, Eyed,

    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Chronicling a three year descent into madness, this book offers a stark and discomforting look at one man's lecherous and self-destructive potential. That's not to say the writing is without humor; as the cover and subtitle suggests, there is line being straddled between laughs and despair throughout. The speaker evaluates a life gone wrong from his bar stool perch while dispensing equal and ample animosity towards himself and others. The truth is often times all too ugly, but it makes for a compelling read.

Self-destructive potential? Does this mean the writer has not even lived up to his self-destructive potential?

"What a shame...he could have been so much more destructive to himself, if only he lived up to his full potential"

Hey now, this life isn't over yet!
