Went to the Blue Room last night. They played the new album in its entirety. Pretty awesome. If the song order is the same the first song fn rocks. The new album live was pretty awesome, hope it translates well to the actual album.
"That's part of the curse: If you're gonna play the song, you better play it. I've tried to phone in "Jeremy" a few times, and it's tough. It doesn't work."
We scored Vault presale tickets for the Columbus show... turns out it's an INDOOR show at Express LIVE! Much smaller crowd than their outdoor venue!!!
It could be snowing in Ohio so maybe inside is a better thing.
With a show date of September 13th... that's a bit early for snow down here in Columbus. We usually get our first snow around Thanksgiving. A sold out indoor show at Express LIVE! at that time of year is gonna be a HOT one!!

Just kidding, but we did freeze at a Modest Mouse show in October and a Pixies show in May.
J Roddy was maybe September 9th indoors and we were roasting!
Will try for the two Tulsa shows at the legendary Cain's Ballroom.
Unreal that they skip Philadelphia. This still mystifies me about Jack White.
Jack white hasn’t played a proper philly show since ‘03. I was hoping he would change his mind but deep down I knew they weren’t going to play here.
What happened in Philly?
I've heard a few reasons. One was he got robbed and the other and probably more realistic one is that last time he played here the crowd wasn't what he wanted it to be and we weren't worthy of him playing there ever again.

That's crazy....never knew that about him with Philly. Hopefully he isn't doing the same to Chicago....still can't figure out why they aren't playing here. Bummer.
At what point do fans in the Philadelphia area just stop giving a shit about Jack? Serious question?
I mean, how far do they generally have to drive for the closest show? Ive got a 2 hour one way minimum to see a decent show. Seems like Philly fans would have a pretty short drive to some other major markets.
Columbus GA tickets were $72 with all the fees & service charges... That's a little less than what we paid for the Jack White solo show at the same venue last fall.

Columbus OH was $78ish after fees
We got our tickets thru the Vault presale. My buddy bought the 4 ticket limit & told me I owed him $72. EDIT: My bad...he still owed me a few bucks for The National & Jim James Detroit tix... $77.50 was the per ticket cost for The Raconteurs.
