I've always dug their sound but I dont own any albums. They're playing near me in a few months and I want to check them out but want to get more familiar in the meantime. Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

  • The most recent self-titled is really really good.
Also, the one before that...This is Somewhere...is also quite good.
I also have the earlier disc Nothing But the Water but I do not enjoy nearly as much as the other two.

A must is to get the live set from the Fillmore (it may be an itunes exclusive but I'm not sure)

You can also find some good live stuff at archive.org
But if you aren't familiar with archive....the sound quality on many of the recordings isn't all that great...just look around and you'll find some good ones though

  • Actually I had heard of her but had never checked her out until I just happened to catch her...quite by accident.
Bonnaroo '09 she came out and did a fantastic version of Southern Man with Gov't Mule....I was sold....so I hit itunes as soon as I got home. If you can find that performance it would also be nice to have.
Should be able to get it at www.muletracks.com

I like This is Somewhere and the new self-titled album as I prefer the rockin' music vs. the country style that Grace also does.
They are fantastic live, definitely go!

I hope you get a chance to go; I saw them last night on their new tour and they really stepped it up. They get better and better each time! My ears are still ringing. Concert of the year so far for me!

I really like the sound of this band. I was surprised to hear how hard they rocked out in AC last summer. I just recently got the itunes session. I may need to start looking into more of their music.
    Alright, alright, alright!

I started by seeing her live. She puts on quite a show. Afterwards I checked out her albums in sequential order, so I'd recommend the same.

I have the first 3, still haven't bought the latest... waiting for it to crop up cheap on Amazon UK! I really hope they make it over here at some point.

Agreed. That's the only one I have actually, but it is really good.

I had never even heard of her/them before and then I seen them on a live stream of some festival show (Bonnaroo last year maybe?) and they kicked ass and I bought the new album directly after watching the performance. I would love to see a live show one of these days.

    *EDIT*

I just checked the tour dates and it looks like they're coming to town and opening for Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney at Paul Brown Stadium. I think I'll wait for a headlining show to see her
