It's a form of spray paint stencil. For as long as it's there, it's there. It's the point of the issue not the materials. They did the same thing with fire hydrants and Hot Wings and the Double Down thing on college campuses is their newest.
This isn’t the first time KFC has taken an unconventional approach to marketing. Last year it agreed to fix potholes in Louisville in exchange for permission to spray paint “Re-Freshed by KFC” into the new pavement. It also funded fire safety improvements around town provided that it could affix the logo for its Hot Wings product on fire hydrants and extinguishers.

SIEGEL: What do we figure will be the lifespan of the logo in a pothole? That is, how many times do you drive over a commercial logo on a pothole before it is effectively rubbed out?
Mayor ABRAMSON: I would say based on the type of spray paint they're using, I'd give it a week, maybe two.
SIEGEL: A week or so. So this is a replenishable market that you have here.
Mayor ABRAMSON: Well, replenishable to the extent that if they had $3,000 more, we could do 350 more potholes.

It's the issue that's it's renewable to anyone who wants to buy it...it's the point, not the longevity.0 -

as a tax payer, i have no problem with this. i get my road fixed for free and they can something on the ground that i won't pay attention to.
if you want to rant agaist something, rant agaist wasteful spending in goverment. they fixed the road here over the summer and at each of the project, that had a 4' x 3' sign telling me it was a cook county project and the county president was todd strodger. now thats a waste and advertising i don't need.
so in conclusion, there are bigger things to worry about than advertising. i'm more worried about corrupt politians putting money into their pockets.81 is now off the air0 -

That is one very small part of the book to make a larger point. It's not 90,000 words on KFC. If I were to pull another 1,000 words out...people would think it's all about THAT as well. It's just to set the table for everything else I put in there and I have made the link between what you worry about (with evidence of that as well) to the MENTALITY that allows EVERYTHING to be FOR SALE.0 -

Thanks very much... I am changing my tactics a bit in the new year. Even though I didn't invent the term Tea Baggers (they did), it is a bit off-putting to some. Anyway, thanks for the support and if ever get it, I'd love to hear your feedback. I think you and everyone will really like the music section though...got some stories to curl your hair from my personal experience as national music writer. Thanks again!0 -
OK... I am changing the product description on both Amazon and the Buy Books on the Web site. I heard some good points of view on this. It was just prior to the midterms and perhaps I was overly emotional...lol...sort of...;)
Better?
For Books to Buy on the Web description (not sure how long it will take to change...maybe a few days)
A critical examination of the rise of right-wing radicals--enabled by corporate interests-- and their impact on the political, cultural and religious landscape. Blends journalism and academics to respond--sometimes viscerally-- in the tone of George Carlin. Puts to bed the notions of a liberal media and liberal bias by exposing rampant conservative corporate rule in all facets of our lives. All the evidence you will ever need to challenge the willfully ignorant, reclaim facts, our history and our country. Challenge everyone—including yourself.
This will be the new Amazon description in day or so...better?

Quick question, will there be Burma Shave signs to view on the way over the cliff? I miss those._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________
