This may be old news, but when did they put lyrics in the song section!!??

This is crazy. I went looking to see how many times Leash had been played, and lo and behold the lyrics came up, and I checked a bunch of other songs too. FINALLY!!

    It's been like that that since the website redesign which was sometime in April 2006, I believe. Some of the lyrics for Lost Dogs aren't up there, though.

    Are these lyrics taken from any "official" source? I mean for B-sides that didn't have liner notes, like, for example, Black Red Yellow. That was the first song I looked at, and it includes this lyric from the first verse:

    "Black magic painted traits. Makes me sing"

    I never knew what the hell Ed was singing there, just that the song was inspired by Dennis Rodman. But there's an article on Two Feet Thick (http://www.twofeetthick.com/tft/readArticle.action?id=29 -- it's always the second google result for "two feet thick") that has a different lyric than what's written.

    "The lyric is actually "Black magic viente y tres" - "viente y tres" translates to "23" in Spanish. This is not Rodman's number, but the number of the one and only Michael Jordan - the untattooed yin to Rodman, the officially flamboyant yang. Now the pieces fall into place. "Freud walking the sidelines, clipboard, score on the brain," is then-Bulls philisophical coach Phil Jackson pacing the sidelines. "Black magic viente y tres makes me sane" a reference to Jordan. Consider this cold-case lyric question solved."

    I have to say, that makes a lot more sense than "Black magic painted traits." So I'm guessing the lyrics on pearljam.com aren't official in any way, and I wonder where they came from?

    Also, Ledbetter doesn't have any lyrics posted. Would be weird if it did.

    That should read "sciatic nerve"...
