Me too, i saw Hamlet on Valentine Day 1997, thought it was Stunning. He done a lot of silly shit since, hopefully he hasn't lost his touch.

nah (I watch H&A from time to time, if it's already on the tv, I don't go out of my way to watch it... I swear)

These kinds of movies don't appeal to me... Like star wars, it doesn't appeal to me, so I have never seen one :D

Just came from a midnight screening and I have to say that I quite enjoyed it. I'm not familiar with the comics, just Norse mythology, so I have no idea if it was faithful to them or not. My only complaint is that the story seemed a little compressed. I would have like to have seen more development in a few areas such as the peripheral characters - hopefully it will be successful enough to spawn more adventures.

Chris Hemsworth was completely and totally believable as Thor not only physically, but also in the arrogance, cockiness and humour of the character.

The brief preview of The Avengers after the credits looks awesome. So excited :mrgreen::mrgreen:

Edited to add: This showing was in 3-D - IMO don't waste your money. I kept thinking throughout the movie that a 2-D viewing would have been just fine.

probably won't be able to see it until tomorrow or sunday. There was suppose to be a screening at the KOP mall near philly on Wed. Didn't go (had to win tix) but apparently it never happened cuz of technical difficulties. Some friends went to a midnight show last night. I may have but I was too tired plus i had to get up early for work.

Unlike Avatar, Thor was not shot in Native 3D, rather they just converted it after. A cheap trick to make more money as 3D is fairly big. Plus extra money when the 3D blue ray is released.

I think they did the same with The new Captain America.

saw it earlier today (no 3d or IMAX). I enjoyed it a lot. Had some decent cg effects. Also some tear jerking moments as well as LOL ones. Thought the main actor, forget his name, was great as Thor as was the guy who played Loki. Natalie Portman was ok. Also stay until the credits are over! ;)

  • Saw it earlier today and enjoyed it very much. Tho I agree, it was a total waste of 3D (which is all that our "good" local theater offered for this movie). I give it a thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone who likes comic book/superhero flicks. Chris Hemsworth was surprisingly good... in all sorts of ways ;)

Saw it today. It was great. A lot of good easter eggs thrown in. I can't wait for Cap next, then next summer, the Avengers!!

regarding 3D, you're so right. its so dumb though that cineplex has like 2 showings in regular and about 50 in 3D... an obvious way to get you to spend the 3 bucks extra... assholes.

regarding Chris Hemsworth... all i can say is... YUM. I think even my bf was salivating when he took his shirt off LOL
