going to the pub by yourself is so much less weird on a weeknight than on the weekend?

    Hmm...well I do 90% of my drinking on weeknights at the campus pub, but there's always a few other people around from my department, students or profs. Don't remember the last time I went out drinking on a weekend...or even off campus! I spend my Saturday nights doing school work...and I should actually go mark another stack of essays right now.

    And then come January, Monday and Tuesday (usually the quietest nights of the week) will actually be the designated drinking nights for my little group. Funny how that works out.

    But who ever said "grad student time" was "normal people time"? Certainly not me!

    you could always try the VFW or Moose, or maybe an Elk club. I hear they are pretty hip come sat night.

    2 guys, beating on each other, and afterwards, they hug it out.....kinda like hockey. Last hockey game I went to there wasn't any fighting...I was really disappointed. :cry: UFC...I likey.

    I had no issues going to the bar solo...weekday or weekend....always found people to party with. But weekenders are always in big herds, so solos are easier to spot.
