What guitar instrumental would you most like to see either Mike or Stone cover?

Not even the 1st 10 seconds

Little Wing SRV style....Mike could tear it up. I always thought the full PJ version sounded kinda clunky and heavy handed.
  • "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic (Eddie Hazel on guitar) It is right up Mike's alley!

I did not! :o Wow. He absofunkinlutely nailed that! Among the best things Ive seen Mike do (granted, this is one of my favorite pieces of music), but my word...he really had it all together on this. The tones, the soundscape effects perfectly in there at the right moments. The utterly transcendent performance of it. I'm really really impressed with that.

I cant believe that they only did that ONCE!

Band was also fantastic on that.

THE ONLY THING MISSING: EDDIE SAYING "MOther Earth is pregnant for the third time,
For y'all have knocked her up, I Have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe, and I was not offended. For I knew I had to rise above it all ...or drown in my own shit" And then a little "Fly on Maggot Brain..."at the end!

THANK YOU FOR THAT POST! So yes, Maggot Brain, is a GREAT cover for Mike to play!!!:lol::lol::D

  • I'm totally with you on that. Also one of my favourite things I've heard him do. Glad you like it.
