The boys are coming up on 800 shows...

Isn't it strange? Doesn't it seem like that number should be higher? I know the whole 'Ticketmaster' thing really kept them off the road for a while there. How long do you think they'll go? I think they'll hit 1000 without breaking a sweat.

    I think way over 1000.

If I had to guess now I'd say they'd be around for 20 more years, like The Who, Aerosmith, or The Rolling Stones.

Maybe thats just wishful thinking though.

I hope you are right! I don't think they will be breaking up any time soon. They seem really happy to be playing together.

Stone really HAS been there the last couple of years. I remember the 2006 tour....stone seemed bouncy and ducky and smiley....when most other times I've seen PJ he seemed kinda bored or just not into it as much.

He seemed really into it in 2006 and so far in 2008. I'm assuming the 2007 shows were the same, even though I didn't get to see any of them.

i hope you're right man! but i think you are! they look up to those bands and respect that and i think they want to do the same thing. plus, at this point they are like brothers, have great chemistry, get along great, and have amazing musicianship. they won't break up.

ahhhh just think of almost double the amount of albums they have now =P

I will agree with this. I could see them stay around for a long time and become a band like the Who. I could also see Eddie and the band take on a role like Neil Young has and host things like the Bridge School benefit show each year. I think they will be around for 20+

I highly doubt they will ever "break-up" over time you will just see more down time with no news or shows then all of a sudden they will tour a little, do some side-projects , benefits. "World Tours" are going to be few and far between.

We have had 1 studio album released since 11/12/02(Riot Act). this band is living the life and enjoying things at their own pace. Thats the recipe for at least 10-15 more years.

I'm watching the DC 1995 show right now and Stone is jumping around and seems to be really into it, so I think you're way off on this. If you really watch him, he's getting down, maybe not Mike McCready style, but who can do that every night, but the man himself

My thoughts exactly. Right now they have the freedom to do whatever they want and I don't think they will get tired or burned out because they can take extended breaks.
