My God, those Everest photos are unbelievable. How about the image of the one who froze sitting against her backpack, with her eyes open and hair blowing in the wind?!?
Yeah, I'm going to have nightmares tonight.
I knew there were bodies up there, but I didn't realize that people are passing right by them. That must be the most eerie feeling...

I know, right? I'm watching the doc that was linked in the website now. Crazy stuff. Though, as crazy as it may be, I have a lot of respect for people who end up losing their lives this way. Sure, some may be stupid or uneducated and just weren't ready for such a challenge, but those who were, I'm sure they couldn't think of a better way to die than chasing their dream.

I agree... but man, it's hard to see them in those positions _ the one all curled up with the bright green boots... ugh. But, I agree. It's an epic way to go.

Some folks are into outdoor recreation for the wrong reasons... others are unprepared, and some are just unlucky. Nature doesn't distinguish.

No doubt. Nor do the climbers passing by. Surreal.
