Do you remember 2012 is predicted as end of times. The Mayan Calender end then. Many religons talk of the great destroyer.
It has been theorised that a massive planet bigger than jupiter on eclyptical orbit that takes it away from our sytem for a very long time would return in 2012 it mass would tear our planet apart or at a minimum flood large parts ( noahs flood anyone) with its gravitational pull.

Really? I heard Earth's magnetic poles were due to shift instantaneously on December 21, 2012, even though that is virtually impossible.

Weren't we supposed to have been wiped out by a few ice ages in recent decades also? What about the Y2K nuclear holocaust?

I have a feeling that 2012 is going to see a massive BOOM in the economy. It will probably be like nothing we've ever seen before, especially towards the end of the year. There are so many jugheads out there that think this whole end of the world crap is true that they are going to be buying anything and everything they can. You just think people charge stuff now, just wait until they think they won't have to pay for it. It's going to be bananas. Then when everyone wakes up on Dec. 22, 2012 and realizes we're still here, that should be the first day of another economic collapse when everyone has to file bankruptcy. Of course this is just my prediction, but I figure it's as good as anyone else's.

What if the world really did end on Y2K? We may all be unaware, and Earth may actually just be a massive incarnation of the island from Lost.
